North Bay Painting Services carries commercial general liability insurance, surety bonding, and WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario) clearance on every job. Our credentials protect you as the property owner: if one of our crew members is injured on your property, WSIB covers them — never your homeowner's policy. If our crew damages your floors, your walls, or your neighbour's car, liability insurance covers the repair. We issue certificates of insurance to commercial clients, property managers, and institutional clients free of charge, typically within 24 to 48 hours of the request. Commercial General Liability

WSIB Clearance

We carry WSIB coverage on every worker on every site in Ontario. Clearance letters issued directly from WSIB to any client who requests one — no cost, no delay. This is non-negotiable for commercial work.

Why this matters if we're painting your property.

When you hire a painter who isn't insured or WSIB-covered, the risk quietly shifts onto you. Your homeowner's policy becomes the fallback if someone is hurt. Your own liability exposure grows if the painter damages a neighbour's property. And in commercial or institutional work, an uninsured trade on site can void your own coverage.

We carry these three credentials because:

WSIB coverage means if one of our painters is injured on your ladder, on your scaffold, or falling from your eaves, the claim goes to the WSIB — never to your insurance.
Commercial liability means if our crew damages your hardwood floors, your cottage boathouse, or your storefront window, the repair is covered directly by our insurer.
A surety bond means institutional clients (schools, municipal, long-term care) can issue us a contract without taking on counterparty risk.

For property managers and commercial clients, we're set up to issue certificates of insurance with additional-insured endorsements in 24 to 48 hours. For homeowners, current copies are available on the first site visit if you want them.

How do I get a certificate of insurance for my commercial painting project?

Call (705) 482-1142 or email us with the name of the entity that needs to be added as a certificate holder and the project address. Most commercial, institutional, and property-management clients are added as additional insured on the certificate. Turnaround is typically 24 to 48 hours. We issue certificates at no charge to the client, and the certificate is valid for the duration of the policy term.
